Posts related to family, enjoy!
My life with 2 kids is gradually back to normal. I can handle 2 kids with me when there’s nobody around me. I can also take them out with me too. Yesterday Chris bought me a stroller that can take 2 babies. It’s very handy. I used the stroller today to take them to a playgroup. I miss the interaction with other moms. Colton liked the new stroller a lot. He liked riding it coz it’s new. I had a hard time asking him to get out of it. Colton is now almost 19 months old. He can say a little over 30 words. He knows how to command us to get what he wants. Carina is doing very well too. She slept for 4 hours straight last night from 10:30pm to about 2:30am the next morning.
Carina is so different than Colton right from the start of the pregnancy. I remember Colton used to be a spitting baby. He had hard time burping after feeding. He had lot’s of cradle cap when he was a couple weeks old. Carina is the opposite of Colton. She doesn’t need to burp a lot and she spits much less then Colton. She has a few baby acne on her face and that’s it. Carina is 1 lb smaller than Colton when he was the same age as she is right now. But I think girl is smaller anyway. Oh! one thing in common, they both like water. Carina loves her bath and she never cries when I bath her.
Colton is so good with his sister. He kisses her and calls her ” May May”. He would help burping her after feeding. He never get jealous when he sees me holding Carina. One time when Carina was crying, Colton hold my hands over to Carina and say “Bao”. He wants me to pick her up coz she’s crying. He’s just a big boy now, and he’s a big brother too. He doesn’t get upset when he sees his favourite mobile on the crib that he used to sleep in. I thought he would feel abandon when we switch him from his crib to a new bed. But everything turn out smoothly. I’m very lucky to have a son like him. Or I should say I’m lucky to have 2 kids so close in age.
Many friends and relatives have been asking this question a lot. Sorry about that we didn’t have time and chance to make up our final decision. However, we do have it now. Our princess is named “Carina Chan” which means “Beloved, Dear one“. We still don’t have her middle name yet because we intend to use her chinese name as the middle name. If you don’t remember, Colton middle name is “Long Heem” means shiny and humble. Other names in our last round, Cadence, Colleen, Corina, Colgate and Cola. They last two are just for fun. but I did have one moment very like Cola, Coke Cola Chan. Hee Hee.
So, finally our daughter has a name, Carina Chan.
Cheers!
After 5 days and 5 nights in hospital, we went home around 5:00pm today. Everyone is happy, especially Carol because she sicked of the food from hospital eventually. BB already has 2 feedings and is sleeping very well since around 9:00pm which she had almost 60 ml of milk. Nurse said she should have 40ml right now, but no harm to drink more. We also had been teaching brother Colton what is a baby and he was holding a mini milk bottle to her sister mouth. It was so cute and warm. However, he still want to suck the mini milk bottle. :>

Our little princess is finally wearing her first outfit provided by hospital.
From the queen, Carol.
Baby and Carol are getting better. We all had a few hours good sleep. I even had my own bed. Hopefully, we can hold the baby soon. Nurses said had to wait 24-48 hours and will be in hospital for 3-4 days for mom to recovery and monitor the baby.

Wow, within 5 hrs, our 2nd baby was born on 1:30am Oct 27, 2006 . It is a month early and was a c section born. weight 6.75 lbs. More photos later.
I finally found some play groups for Colton. The Tuesday one is $2 each time and the Wednesday one is free with snacks. Each of them is 1.5 hours long and I get to meet other moms too. The library also has story time every Friday morning for 0.5 hour. So I take Colton to the park every Monday and Thursday morning. Afternoon is his napping time. He usually naps for 3 hours from 1pm to 4pm. Then snack time after. Then we play for a while and dinner time around 6-ish. Then play time until 7:30pm and then shower and bedtime. That’s my daily routine.
Yes, Colton is speaking a few words that we understand. Things like “Bye, bye”, “Bah, Bah”, “Goh, Goh”…….He’s doing more than 10 signs to help him express himself. Like “more”, “eat”, “full”, “Sleep”, “Bye”, “Bird”, “fish”, “keys”, “Car”, “Bath”, “Hat”, “Brushing teeth”, “Washing face”, It’s a lot of fun to play with him now.
Thanks God. Things for moving back to BC have been going very smooth as planned. My family arrived in Vancouver in the afternoon of 25 Sept. It was a heavy rainy day but the weather has veen very good after that day. I have also worked for a week and here is the first family picture which we celebrate my wife’s mom birthday. My wife said she hasn’t had chance to celebrate in last 10 years.
